So let's go to verse 10. Romans 12. 10.

Love one another with brotherly affection.

Outdo one another in showing honor. That's our focus. It's addressed to the church, not to everybody.

One another means the church.

That doesn't mean that you shouldn't have affection for unbelievers.

You should. You're married to one perhaps, or you have one in your family, a child, or a dad or a mom or an uncle, somebody

at work, you really, really have affection for this unbeliever.

I'm not saying that when it says one another you don't do it

to unbelievers. I'm saying there's something special in the body will be there.

And I'm not saying when it says I'll do one another and showing honor.

It doesn't mean you don't honor unbelievers.

There is a way to honor all men.

First Peter 27, honor all men. Honor the king. Nero was king when that was written.

There's a way to honor a criminal. I taught this text at Bethel 25, 27 years ago now and I mean the tech not this

text the one in 1st Peter 27 where it says honor all man my my question on the study guide for their homework was how do you honor

a murderer and my answer was put him in jail Don't treat him like an animal.

As a human being in the image of God, probably he should be put to death if it was aggravated enough because the Bible says you shed the blood of a person in the image of God your blood will be shed.

It's the dignity of man that undergirds honoring by capital punishment.
