When you look at popular culture, I think there's this weird myth that becoming apparent is somehow this giant death to yourself.

And to joy.

Death to joy, death to your death to your future death to happiness

all of the yeah yeah all of those things yeah and sure like there is and you know there is a death

in all of this stuff so it's not not every part of that is wrong but i think what's missing that

is this incredible beauty and delight that comes with parenthood

and the fact that it can be so filled with joy and laughter and play and so one of the things

that we're trying to do is focus a little bit on that it's like what does it what does play look

like why is play connected to grace?

What is a life dedicated to delight?

Cody is a father of four kids.

He's the executive director of grace-based families, a ministry committed to encouraging,

educating, and equipping families for every age and stage.

Cody's served as a pastor, professor, entrepreneur,
