| 0:25.8 | I am. |
| 0:26.4 | When divorced parents talk about their younger years with their kids and raising them |
| 0:29.6 | alone, they'll often hear them say, it was really hard, but I don't regret a thing, |
| 0:33.6 | or having my daughter made it all worth it. |
| 0:35.7 | And I believe you even said something similar to yourself, but I could be mistaken. I also hear people say that divorce sucks and you want to avoid it for the kids at all costs. So I'm in a dilemma. My husband is a good person, but he's not a very good husband. I have full confidence that he would be a good father, but I don't have confidence that we will last as a couple. I find myself thinking that we shouldn't try for children if I'm so uncertain of the future, but then at the same time, I think back to those comments of if I do it all again, if I have to, or I don't regret a thing, or my daughter is the best thing that ever happened to me? Is it morally okay to have a child with someone if you're pretty certain that you won't be together in the long run? obviously I would would hope that we stay together for the years spent, that for these years spent being patient and figuring out and also, but I'm in my prime baby years. But what if we find out that we make it, but it's too late to have kids? What if we have kids? And then it ends shortly after. I'm wondering about the future. Whoa. I just personally would not be making babies until you knew for sure. |
| 1:27.8 | This is the man that, you know, you're going to be with. Because it is hard because if you're |
| 1:32.7 | already thinking, don't have a baby planning to raise the kid as a single mom. I mean, that's just, |
| 1:39.9 | you could go, if you want to just be a single mom, go to a sperm mate, right? And you can do it that way. |
| 1:44.9 | But this, you're making a baby with the sky is just all the wrong reasons. So figure, my advice is to figure out your marriage, whether you want to be in it or not be in it or whatever, but bringing a baby in the mix is going to make it way more stressful. And everybody says in hindsight, because what can you do? |
| 1:59.4 | You want me to sit there and say, I wish I never got married and I wish I'd never had him a Kelly? |
| 2:03.2 | Nobody's, well, not a sane normal person wouldn't say something like that. Yeah. But, you know, that's what everybody says because, you know, hindsight's always 2020. Always, always, Kelly. But you've got the benefit of, you know, foresight is 2020. |
