Love Island is over. It will be a relief for some. I haven't actually watched a single episode.

But others will have been glued to every minute.

This week, Late Night Woman's Hour brings together Vices Sing Sing,

journalist Yomi Adagocke and the comedian, Sophie Hagan, to consider what we've learned from

the series. Yomi kicks us off. Oh, I love, Love Island. I love reality TV, full stop. I really do.

I think it honestly really is one of the last few like spaces, like bastions of where

people can just be dicks. Like people are terrible. Like I love, like there's so many characters

that I'm like, oh, this person's great, whatever, but none, there's no kind of like, I'm not looking

at anyone in particular and thinking they're going to be better than anybody else because of who

they are. I'm just like, they're on Love Island.

So they all are probably quite bad.

Like, do you know what I mean?

Except you're Wanda.

She's wonderful.

And Amber and Michael.

They're all great.

But yeah, I do think that, like, for instance, like, you know, a lot of it, I was just watching one of the tasks yesterday and it was like, you know, they literally had the girls dressed up as

Playboy bunnies and they were eating carrots like in the most kind of suggestive, genuinely problematic

way. Like it just looked terrible. Anyone just like kind of flicking through it would have just been like

what on earth is this? But I do feel like it kind of is one of the last few spaces, reality TV generally,
