Leo Season this year brings heightened, explosive fire. As the Sun and Mercury travel into conjunction in August, they both trine Chiron, Mars, Lilith and Eris in Aries. This flow of fire through our collective body feels like the upsurging of ancestral pain and righteous calls for healing and repair; it feels like unchecked aggression and over-the-top violence and force when that pain remains unconscious and convinced of its separation; it feels like no-holds-barred-burn-this-fucker-to-the-ground chaos, anarchism, cathartic fury; it feels like bravery and determination; it feels like a dawning mass consciousness that communities and bodies which have been disproportionately violated and marginalized are the exact communities and bodies that hold the keys and wisdom for any kind of sustainable, joyful future.

Through all of this, Leo’s heart-centered symbolism points us to the power of joy, celebration, creativity, authenticity, and the power of love. Leo reminds us that we need all of us here, hands on deck, working in all the ways we do to create our culture-shift.
