I went from being unable to run a mile to conquering four marathons the following year.

Now, I want to help others manufacture big breakthroughs of their own.

18 years young, I just finished up a baseball game.

And I got a call on my phone from what it looked like with my mom,

because it said my mom's name on the phone.

But, you know, somebody on the other end was yelling and screaming and finally told me, hey, you got to get down to the church right now.

And that's when I say the worst for the

words happened like you said you know some things we see happen on tv but we never think it'll

happen to us and this is exactly what that was for me um and you know later on that night i found out

that my mom was taken away along with eight other people by a man who was 21 years old and wanted to start a race for in this country.

So that definitely shaped the trajectory of my life and changed my mission for sure.

On today's episode of the CLS experience, we have a very special treat.

He's a former professional baseball player turned inspirational, world-renowned speaker,

following the loss of his mother in the 2015 racially motivated mass shooting in South Carolina.

He's the author of the two phenomenal children's books, Different and Your Life Matters.

His message is one of resilience, forgiveness,

and unity, sharing that love is stronger than hate. He's a courageous believer and tremendous

husband and father to his two sons. He's just an overall juggernaut in all facets of life

and a terrific human being.
