1:00.0	I am doing great. It's cold in New York, but the sun is out, and my entire personality depends on how the sun goes.
1:10.0	I mean, yeah, exactly the same, which is why I'm in Lagos and have been since December.
1:17.0	I came just before lockdown in the UK, and I was like, I'm just not going to go back.
1:22.0	My seasonal depression has lifted. I am not going to be about, I'm not going to go back to the spring.
1:31.0	I'm so jealous you're in Lagos. Please eat something delicious, and do all of the West African activities for me.

1:42.0	Every time I look at your Instagram, I have to put my phone down, because I'm happy for you, but I get a little upset.

1:55.0	Oh my gosh, well done, and done and done. Also, Bolu, congrats on the publication of your book Love and Color that is now also out in America.
2:04.0	The book is an anthology that features all these stories of self-love, love of first sight, and it's very black stories.
2:13.0	And the thing I love about it is that in the anthology, you are flipping all of the stereotypes and patriarchal structures that usually come with the fairy tale and romance and romance genre.
2:24.0	And obviously, that was a very deliberate choice, because you are someone who is, I think it's fair to call you a rom-com connoisseur.
2:35.0	And I think that you do that with such a joy, but also you are very skeptical, obviously, of the romance trope.
2:43.0	And so I am just really curious about your process when you set out to write the anthology.
2:51.0	Thank you. So I really wanted it to be kind of an homage to like, romance as a genre of rom-coms in general as a genre.
