Following a childhood dream to study medicine, Lauren got her degree in nursing at the University of Tennessee and shortly after married her husband country music star Thomas Red

and was taken on a whirlwind of touring life as her husband played concerts around the country

Though Lauren loved this part of her life,

she still felt a strong conviction

that her purpose was to serve God through medical mission work.

Through connection to a friend who starred

administrative orphans, Lauren began a life of service in third world countries

through Love One International.
