Look, I watch 90-day fiancé robes. Big deal. I hear about this all the time.

Yes, but what you don't hear is that a woman, an American woman, has agreed to move to Afghanistan to be with her husband.

Okay, is that the key? Is that because of where?

Absolutely. And how women are treated in that country, how little safety protections are afforded

someone like her. And yes, she might be half Jordanian. So she, I think, may have some

false expectations that she will be accepted, regarded, and treated perhaps

even in a different way. And there is real concern by people who go from calling her horrible

names and delusional to actually having serious concern for her safety. You said have Jordanian,

but this is an American woman. She is American. Her mom is from Kentucky. Yes, her dad is from Jordan, but she has been raised as an American through and through. She's a truck driver. No indication she's spent time there, has a connection there, has got family there, has made frequent trips there. No reason to think she is anyway, anything other than an American girl.

No, and look, it's interesting because usually,

and you kind of set it up this way, when we hear grand gestures of love like this,

where somebody basically sacrifices

everything they know and everyone they love

to be with another,

that's usually celebrated.

It's romanticized. It's the stuff of rom-coms and novels
