And even on the game Saturday at the Yankees win, they damn here blow a lead in a way you can't imagine.

Easy double plays.

We watch them kick the ball around and the Mets in heartbreaking fashion every which way.

Walk off wins or walk off losses obviously or, you know, pitch clock violations turned

into two run home runs.

Easy plays by the pitcher lead to a disaster.

Lindor, Max Fried, the whole bit, there is not a positive takeaway from our baseball teams

in the entire month of August.

And we're at the point now where the divisions are almost lost.

Both teams are six games in the lost column back in the division.

The Mets are a game and a half up out of a playoff spot.

And the Yankees are a half a game up on the Cleveland Guardians who last year no one

wants to give them credit for beating. That's how terrible they are. And they just traded away a bunch of people at the deadline. They're selling it to deadline and they were eight and two in their last 10 and they're about to overtake the Yankees in a playoff spot. It is a miserable Monday morning. I wish it was different. Yeah, in reference to the mess, man, I thought if they were able to really get this series, at least two out of the three.

I thought it would win a long way. The fact that they dropped the goose egg and with the brains coming up, you're like, man, this is.

No, of course. Doom and gloom coming ahead. And that's what's funny about it too, because I, you know, doing the show on Friday and even Saturday morning, like, the idea of what could have been, because you're taking on the Mets going to Milwaukee against one of the best teams in baseball, the best team of baseball. They're the hottest team in baseball. Hotest team in baseball, and it's been like that for two months. They are not a fluke. This has been a good organization. Ironically enough, built up by the man who currently leads the Mets and David Stearns. It has been a really good baseball team now for two months. They've consistently put together scrappy, tough nose, like really good baseball. And to go in there, the team you beat in the playoffs last year and try and wake up. And if you do take two out of three, if you play well in Milwaukee, if you go take down the team that's the best in the National League, you start to feel better about yourself. And you get Kodi Sanga throwing pretty good

for the first four innings, and then it kind of in there. He hung in there. But it implodes.

And then to watch it happen, and for both of these teams, it just feels like, and this is what

bad teams do, Willie. And you know, they find ways. As a former jet, you've been on a couple. This is what bad teams do, Willie. You speak. Listen, this is what bad teams do. They are going to find a way to lose. They're going to make the misplay. They're going to make the bad pitch. They're going to have the bad at bat. The manager is going to do something just befuddingly stupid. Some way, by hook or by crook, they are going to find a way to lose the game. Yeah, but I also think like this is, I don't know, I feel like they're trying everything. I feel like at this point they've thrown everything against the wall and nothing that stuck. We talked a little bit off air how, you know, with Nemo sitting in a three spot, he shouldn't be there.
