Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We are blessed to be praying this rosary from Lord in France.

Now Lord is a small village at the foot of the Pyrenees on the border between France and Spain.

The family of St. Bernardat, Subaru, to whom our lady appeared, was so poor that they lived in one room in an old building that used to be at jail.

No running water, no plumbing.

Bernadette and her sister had to scrounge around the countryside for kindling for the wood stove.

That's why on February 11, 1858,

she went to the dark and rocky grotto near the river to gather firewood.

Suddenly, Bernadette heard a noise like the sound of a storm, frightened she stood up straight,

turned her head toward the grotto where she saw an exceedingly beautiful young girl, 16 or 17 years old.

The beautiful lady looked at Bernadette, smiled, waved to her to come near.

Bernadette rubbed her eyes, shut them and opened them, but the lady was still there.

Without thinking, Bernadette took her rosary out and fell to her knees.

The lady gave a nod of approval. She too took out a rosary.

And as Bernadette prayed, the lady moved the beads through her fingers.

And as soon as the rosary had finished, the lady disappeared.

Our lady ultimately asked Bernadette to come 18 times at regular intervals.

And our lady said to Bernadette,

I do not promise to make you happy in this world, but in the next.

And during those 18 apparitions, world, but in the next.
