All right, back with you. I am Tom Gresham and this is Gun Talk. You know, as up today, we're just a few days away from Independence Day, the 4th of July.

And while we all celebrate that and we applaud the United States of America,

there's another reason to applaud that this year, and that is that Louisiana becomes the latest

state to have constitutional carrier permitless carry if you will as has happened in many states it's taken a number of years to get it done in this case took changing out the governor to make it happen who better to tell us about that and what it means and actually in many cases

what it doesn't mean then Dan's the Lincoln he is the president of the Louisiana Shooting Association

which is the group that really pushed this and made this happen.

I try yeah I tried. Yeah I would say it didn't look like that this morning. Well that does

happen but I would say that that the rack of trophies and ribbons you have

means that you have tried and succeeded a number of times

on a national level.

So what did it take to get constitutional carry passed

in Louisiana? Well, I took a look at that today.

We started in 2014.

That was the year the first constitutional carry bill was filed in Louisiana.

Ten years.
