| 0:49.0 | Which means Spooktober here at-1 Classic Short Stories and Tales. |
| 0:54.0 | So this month we're going to try and give you some great sort of spooky stories |
| 0:58.5 | by some of the greatest classic authors ever. |
| 1:01.0 | And MR James is definitely one of those. We introduced MR James |
| 1:05.5 | just a few weeks ago and it did absolutely great so we thought it might be good to |
| 1:11.3 | bring it back for you. This one is called Lost Hearts. |
| 1:15.4 | It was first published in 1904 and featured in MR James as ghost stories of an Antiquary. |
| 1:22.0 | This ghost story tells the tale of an orphan boy about to turn 12, Stephen |
| 1:26.7 | Elliot, who is said to stay with Mr. Abney, the boy's cousin, at his remote estate in the country. |
| 1:33.0 | He's an alchemist obsessed with his quest to acquire immortality. |
| 1:39.0 | Young Stephen is soon haunted by Mr. H |

| 1:47.8 | It was as far as I can ascertain in September of the year 1811 that a post chaise drew up before the door of Aswobby Hall in the heart of Lincolnshire. |
