called The Four Spiritual Laws? It was designed to help people become Christians. Law one is that God has a wonderful

plan for your life. Law two is that human beings are sinful. Law three, Jesus died to pay for sins.

And law four is everyone must receive Christ in order to become a Christian. Now, you can debate

how helpful the four spiritual laws are. Some people think they're great and some people have some concerns.

But whether you like them or not, you can't deny that the four spiritual laws have been

really influential in American Christianity.

I just want to focus for a moment on law one.

God has a wonderful plan for your life.

Now, I understand the point, but whether that's

true or not, depends on how you define the word wonderful. I remember one meme I saw. It was a picture

of some early Christians going to face the lions and the Roman Coliseum, and over the meme, it said,

God has a wonderful plan for your life.

In other words, maybe God defines the word wonderful differently than we do.

Now we're in our series through the Gospels and we're ready for the end of Mark chapter 8.

We will pick up in verse 27.

Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Cessaria Philippi.

On the way, he asked them, who do people say that I am?

Now, this is an incredibly important question that every human being must wrestle with.
