Summary

Former MEP Rupert Lowe kicks off today's show by delving into the morning's headlines as the Illegal Migration Bill is set to become law after the government won a final series of votes in the Lords. The legislation is central to the prime minister's pledge to stop small boats crossing the English Channel. Former NHS Trust Chair Matin Gower joins shortly after to discuss why on earth more than one million patients a month are having to wait four weeks to see their GP, with rural areas the worst affected. Leader of The Reform Party Richard Tice returns to The Independent Republic to discuss his recent visit to Wales as protesters are claiming victory after a siege ended at a top hotel due to take in more than 200 asylum seekers. The four-star Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli, South Wales, which allegedly sacked its staff after gaining the Home Office contract, has been surrounded by demonstrators who blocked off the two main entrances, trapping six security workers inside. Author of ‘Free Your Mind’ Laura Dodsworth returns for her weekly takedown of the worst headlines from clown world and Baroness Karren Brady CBE closes the show to discuss how we can save the high street. All that and so much more, so tune in!

Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republican Mike Graham right here on Talk TV. We've got lots to talk about and we've got plenty of time to do it as well. The migrant bill has passed through the House of Commons and the House of Lords, pretty much unfettered by those lefty lords who were trying to make it impossible for us to kick any migrants out who did not qualify for basic asylum in this country. But unfortunately,

0:23.3

the bill is still got an awful lot of holes in it. It is literally like a calendar because

0:28.1

every single lefty lawyer in the land will find ways around it. Because what it says is that

0:32.5

we will be under duty of care to put people into detention if they apply for asylum and fail, and we will

0:39.2

then have to deport them back to the country from whence they came. But of course, that's not going

0:43.5

of work, is it? Because in practice, the lefty lawyers will say, well, where are you going to send

0:47.5

them? You can't send them back to their country of origin if it turns out they're going to be

0:51.0

tortured there, because that's against the European Convention on Human Rights.

0:57.0

You can't send them back to France because the French haven't got any kind of agreement that we should send them back there from whence they came, the Calais borders.

1:01.6

They will also not be able to be sent to any neutral country because, once again, the lefty lawyers will say,

1:06.8

well, that's against their human rights, because they might end up being sent on from there back to whence they came,

1:10.7

where they will be tortured.

1:12.0

So we've all gone around in a massive, great big kind of circle,

1:15.1

spending millions and millions of pounds.

1:16.6

We've got a new boat on the horizon,

1:19.2

you know, this Bibby Stockholm scenario,

1:21.9

where 500 people are going to be put on

1:23.7

and allowed to meander around at their behest,

1:27.0

playing shuffleboard, ping pong, having

1:29.0

a drink whatever they want to and wandering into Weymouth if they fancy a night out on the

1:33.1

Terps. Amazing. This is great, isn't it? So we are now actually enabling people to have a holiday

1:37.6

in Britain. Come to Britain. Have a holiday. Go on a barge. It's like a cruise. I mean, maybe we'll
