In. Yeah, it's my first time on the show and I actually can't believe that the very first thing I'm going to say

on Outside In is such an outrageous pun. I feel like as a new dad I have to approve

of pun so go for it. So a couple weeks ago I went to Boston for a cat show and it was called

Catsichisits. Ooh. Too far. Cat Show and it was called Cats at Ussets.

Oh, too far.

I mean, it's just right.

He said there's going to be a parade of cats at 1230.

So this is the world of the cat fancy,

and a fancy basically means hobby is the term for pedagreed

animal breeding so the Westminster dog show is the pinnacle of the dog fancy but

there's also a horse fancy a butterfly fancy and so on. So this is like Westminster but for cats?

Yes, and just not so British.

So I did not have any trouble finding people to come with me. I actually had three friends

tag along, Will and Olivia, who just live in Boston, and our colleague Christina from the station.

And we all met up at this cavernous ice rink in Cambridge

which had been transformed into this kind of trade show slash cat breed

competition. If you hear cat loose please stand still and let the owner catch

the cat. Do not the owner catch the cat.
