| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Pretty Lies and Alibis. Let's seek the truth and travel the long road to justice together. |
| 0:12.4 | What you know, Alibis. Welcome to another episode of Pretty Lies and Alibis. I'm Gigi, |
| 0:17.7 | day 23 of the Lori Vallow murder trial. We're going to jump into it. But real quick, thanks to |
| 0:23.0 | everybody who's donated, appreciate you guys so much and music fact of the day. The song |
| 0:28.1 | under the bridge by the Red Hot Chili Pepper is a great, great song. Anthony Ketus wrote that |
| 0:33.0 | song about his struggles with addiction. And the lyrics actually came from a poem. And in that |
| 0:38.8 | poem, it talks about disconnection from people, but yet remaining in tune with the larger space |
| 0:44.4 | around you, but really with that heightened isolation that comes from drug use. So the lyrics make |

| 1:18.5 | more like closing statements as opposed to just something to supplement his testimony. |
| 1:24.9 | And so overnight, they fixed all that and he is on the stand. He introduces himself and he |
| 1:31.5 | actually now is the chief deputy of the Canyon County Sheriff's Office. He's been there for |
| 1:37.0 | eight months, but from 1995 to 2022, he was a special agent for the FBI. Now, he's trained in |
| 1:43.9 | identifying graves as well as locating and exhuming bodies. He has been involved in many cases |
| 1:51.6 | that involve crimes against children. He's worked abductions missing kid cases. So he explained |
| 1:57.7 | when it crosses state lines, then the FBI gets involved. And even if the case doesn't fall under |
| 2:03.2 | their guidelines for joining the case, they will just simply assist local law enforcement any way they |
| 2:08.8 | can. And a very scary statistic is if a child is abducted and is going to be killed, it's going |
