Summary

As you know, we have been teasing out a very precious item that will be announced later this week on the podcast but we wanted to give you all here first access! We have partnered with the amazingly talented and quality folks at Sylvan Forge Creations to bring you The Country Squire Ring!

The Country Squire ring is handcrafted from Italian briar (Bruyere) harvested by the world-reknowned artisan Mimmo! The honey-hued briar wood is outlined with elegant gold bands on either side, reminiscent of traditional pipe filigree. All inlayed into a beautiful, smooth black ceramic ring core. From ring crafter, woodworker, and pipe enthusiast Jeremy Dukes, The Country Squire Ring is a simple, sophisticated design that speaks volumes about the wearer. “A pipe is the fountain of contemplation, the source of pleasure, the companion of the wise..." This Maker's Exclusive (limited edition) ring was created in partnership with Country Squire Radio and is only available for a short time.

In the ring crafters own words: “The Country Squire ring becomes a way to bring the world and culture of our beloved hobby with us, and represents our community to others. It is a symbol of a common passion for pipe smoking and that bond. It does, in a small way, unite our community further, just as Country Squire Radio has done on a large scale. It is a piece of conversation AND representation. "When you smoke a pipe, you're making a statement", right? This ring furthers that statement.”

We are honored to partner with Sylvan Forge Creations as they bring 4 generations of woodworking behind them as well as a passion for bringing the peace, strength, and beauty of nature into a form we can take with us.

You’ll learn more about Jeremy Dukes, Sylvan Forge Creations, and the story behind the Country Squire Ring on this week’s episode of CSR but for now head over to the website and order yours today as they will only be available for a limited time. Also, they have ring sizing guides if you need assistance.

It's always a good feeling to see some of these old friends that once the real, real hot heat kind of dies down, we, uh, we see some of our buddies from spring.

i got one of those pull-up bars you know to do the old pull-ups in the in the house. You don't talk about, right? You know, you put it out. Yeah, you attach them to your door threshold thing or whatever. Exactly. And so I was doing the thing. And the problem is, you know, we're hobbits up in this house. And like, you know, the roof is not exactly all that tall, even, you know, from where the doorframe is.

1:44.9

And so I'm kind of, you know, doing the pull-ups and then I bash my head on the ceiling. And I fall, the whole thing comes dislodged in my, because I, you know, I don't know how physics works. I don't know if I've ever explained this before, but I am not a physicist. I, in my pulling up and bashing my head, I dislodged the bar and we all came a tumbling down.
