The The House Stark has ruled the North for countless years.

And for most of that time, their rule has been unquestioned.

Their dominance has been such that it would be difficult for any other house to have issued a real

challenge, no matter which of these countless years or centuries were even referring to,

because it's been so long and so well kept.

It's difficult to imagine a circumstance where another Northern House could have

enough support to overcome Winterfell and its allies.

Even now in a Song of Ice and Fire with the Bolton's holding the castle,

there's a sense that this is temporary.

I don't know many people who think that the Starks aren't going to get Winterfeld back.

The question is how.
