Hello, it's the Fulhamish podcast, your independent voice of Fulham FC, brought to you by the Athletic

UK. My name is Sammy James, and yes, in today's podcast, we'll be looking back at Fulham's

game against Newcastle, as Saturday night was all right for the diving with the magpies,

robbing the whites of a point thanks to an extremely dubious penalty call, which otherwise

soured a fantastic performance

from Scott's boys. More on that at a moment, but I just want to start the podcast today by

saying, although football and Fulham is a wonderful distraction for all of us, it's been pretty

tough for us to ignore the reality of what's happening

around us here in the UK and the world. And I'm not going to lie, yesterday's announcements about

Christmas and Tier 4 were really, really hard to hear. And I'm sure everyone listening has been

affected by them in one way or another and

I just want to say that I know we all have our own families but we also do have another family

and that is the Fulham family and we don't all know each other we don't all think the same way

when it comes to formations transfers or even where we like to sit at the cottage. We don't all live in the

same country. We don't have the same politics, race or religion, but we all do support

Fulham FC and we all love to have a natter about it. So I just want to say as we start this pod,

if you're struggling this Christmas, firstly, that's all right. It's okay not to be okay.

And I'm sure you probably do have people you can

talk to about that. But if you don't, or you just want a conversation with somebody that isn't about

tears, reproduction rates or Boris Johnson, and you want to get away from it all and just chat footy,
