So, Rich McKay, who is the co-chairman of the NFL Competition Committee, they had a competition

committee meeting in Indianapolis yesterday, and I guess there are further meetings this week,

but there was a lot that came out of it. And it started with the big story that maybe you've

seen at this point that is surprising to me,

although I guess there was some momentum building for this during the course of the season,

but Rich McKay, the NFL Competition Committee co-chairman, said that he's not, not anticipating

an attempt like there was last year, and they got very close,

to banning the Tush Push play this year. He said, quote, there's no team proposal that I've seen from it,

so I wouldn't envision it, but you never know.

Schefter, I don't remember this, but Schefter reported back in September that there were no

assurances of reviving the Tush Push debate in 2026. But remember the game that everybody

seemed like, Jesus, they might do something in season.

Was that early season game between the Eagles and the Chiefs, a rematch of the Super Bowl,

and the Eagles basically converted four tush pushes, or there were four attempts where the game

just kind of came to a screeching halt

and there were penalties that weren't called. I'm telling you in that moment I'm like,

this is done. We're not going to see this in 2026. Not according to Rich McKay. He says

that there's no real vitriol for it like there was last year.

Now, the obvious, like, I think response from anybody that watched the entirety of the NFL season would be,

well, that's because defenses figured it out.

They started to stop it.

And so the teams that used it the most, Philly, Buffalo, and some others stopped running it as much.
