Summary

How we see a situation depends on the lens we are looking through. The lens will filter how we perceive it; in life, our success depends on seeing every issue through the lens of God’s Word. How we respond to the circumstances determines the condition of our lives, and is a direct result of our philosophy. In light of this, using the correct lens—one based on the Word—is critical. If the way we interpret what happens to us is not biblically-based, it is wrong; therefore, our responses and conclusions will also be incorrect. To succeed, believers need a philosophy modeled on Christ, not on the world. Viewing life through the lens of what He says always gives us the correct worldview.

0:28.2	important. The issue, the question tonight is how are you seeing a thing
0:36.0	Now that's a very important question because it's like you know I can see a situation here because I'm looking at it through a certain lens.
0:48.0	You know if I had glasses that had blue tent and an orange tent. I can look at we can look at the same thing, but through your lens you see blue. Through the other lens you see orange.
1:05.0	And so the question tonight is really going to come down to
1:10.0	when you look at life and you look at circumstances and situations around you,
1:15.0	what lens are you looking through?
1:19.0	And so we're going to talk about that tonight.
1:22.0	We're going to talk about that tonight. We're going to talk about looking through the correct lens.
1:27.2	And this is really a teaching on philosophy,
1:30.8	because that's what this is.
1:32.2	But there are lots of things that are going on in the
1:34.3	world and people are looking at the same coronavirus they're looking at the same
1:40.0	pandemic but what if they're looking at it through the wrong lens?
1:47.0	What if you're looking at situations in this life through the wrong lens?
1:52.0	If you're looking at something through the wrong lens. If you're looking at something through the
1:54.4	wrong lens then your response is always going to be wrong. And so I want to try to
1:59.5	tackle this tonight through the word of God because Satan is trying to get us away
