Well, Father, I long so much for people to be changed by your word, for your glory and for their

joy and for this world's sake.

And so I pray that your anointing would be upon me,

that you would fill me with your Holy Spirit,

that you would lose my tongue, that you would engage my heart, and brood over this people and give them an ear to hear, and hearts to respond. I pray that as we try to get the sound system in perfect

order even before the pews come in that you will enable everyone to hear

whatever part of the sanctuary there in and help me to speak distinctly so that no one loses anything, especially at those moments where you might

have something appointed for them to hear. So Lord, draw near now, be the power and the presence in this room and let no one leave unchanged I pray in Jesus name,

amen.

Some Christians come to the end of their lives very suddenly.

So suddenly that they don't have a chance to say one word of parting testimony.

No final words, no last sayings.

So you're left with a lifetime of deeds and a lifetime of words and manifest

attitudes to piece together for the interpretation of their lives.

And that's the way it was with Rollins on Tuesday morning.

Not one second to prepare or to speak a word of meaning.

There are other Christians who come to the end of their lives and they see the end coming very clearly.

That's the way it was with the Apostle Paul.

They have a chance to reflect on the meaning of their lives and talk

about what their lives meant. And here's the sentence from the Apostle Paul concerning the meaning of his life as he

ready to lay it down.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
