Five days left. That's right, to life day.

For life day.

This really got rolling in 2020 with the Lego Star Wars holiday special.

So Disney began kicking the tires of, hey, life day, which for those of you that you don't know, all the way back to the Star Wars holiday special that ran on CBS back on November 17, 1978.

In fact, that's why the whole November 17th date, you know, I think I liked life day more before I, I rewatched the special because now I, I think about is grandpa and that thing watching that.

Diane Carroll. No, that goes behind the steel door, Brian. And in fact, I've actually read it.

If you were George Lucas talked about how if I could get a hold of every copy of the Star Wars holiday special, I would destroy them with a hammer.

I mean, it just was one of these things where as far as he was concerned, it was just a complete misfire.

But October 26th of this year was the 10th anniversary of Disney buying Lucasfilm.

Oh, wow. That kind of went by the wayside, didn't it? Well, yeah, I mean, you would think Disney would make a bigger deal of that.

But Lucas, how much of George Lucas was a life day? We don't talk about life day, you know, it's just sort of like, where is Disney on the other hand?

Like, as I mentioned, they looked at life day and it's like, okay, so we tried this holiday special in the very next year.

November of 2021, we see our first start of Disney sort of walking at the idea, could we merchandise life day?

A relatively small program. There was a Star Wars life day cookbook.

There was also a Chubaka life day plush. So at 20th tall, Wookie dressed in a red robe holding a life day orb.

Likewise, there was a life day orb mug, which looks like it can hold seven gallons of coffee, which immediately appealed to me.

It's like, ooh, okay, that's a good way to start your morning. But also last year, they also had the Star Wars life day treasury.

And it was a holiday stories from the galaxy far, far away. But again, relatively minor, you know, small dish retail program.

Yeah, they were sticking a toe in the water to see if anybody would buy it.
