Kathleen Kennedy and the rest of the team at Lucasfilm

have dreamed up over the past 40 years.

Tonight, as we record this show,

which by the way we're doing on Wednesday, December 19th, 2018.

Dan and I are looking to the future,

one year and one day into the future to be exact,

because on December 20th, 2019 is when Star Wars episode 9 will finally be released to

theaters. Can you imagine the excitement for this because I mean it's a new

Star Wars movie sure but I don't know about you but I've really felt the

emptiness of not having a Star Wars film so I think that extra year that they put into

the schedule is gonna make all the difference in the world in fact I'm still

convinced that a solo came out now

and make two or three times as much as it did before. There were friends at

Disney that are making comparisons between when Aladdin came out in November of 1992 and then due to various regions including production problems

and that sort of thing the Lion King didn't come out till June of 1994.

So there was, you know, this almost 18 month long period

where there was new Disney animated film.

And as a direct result, we saw the lion king do unprecedented numbers and there's a lot of folks
