Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. We are in the midst of our

Advent celebration as we're anticipating the Christmas holiday. Today we'll be looking

at Isaiah chapter 40 verses 6 through 11 and I'm excited to get into it but before we

get there I want to invite you to share something of your journey with the morning mindset

how the morning mindset is impacting you and how God is working in your life and I think

All right today we're looking at Isaiah chapter 40 verses 6 through 11. This is again a

prophecy that was given to the people of Israel when they were in a time of captivity.

They had been taken captive by Babylon and they were understandably very depressed and

very sad because they could not see how God's promises in their lives were going to be fulfilled.

And Isaiah 40 6 through 11 begins this way it says a voice says cry and I said what shall I cry

all flesh is grass and all its beauty is like the flower of the field the grass withers the

flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it. Surely the people are grass the grass withers

the flower fades but the word of our God will stand forever. Going up to a high mountain

O Zion herald of good news lift up your voice with strength O Jerusalem herald of good news

lift it up fear not say to the cities of Judah behold your God behold the Lord God comes with might

and his arm rules for him behold his reward is with him and his recompense before him

he will tend his flock like a shepherd he will gather the lambs in his arms he will carry them
