trends are fun to keep up with. People use trends in fashion, food and vacation locations.

But when it comes to determining how well a team will do in their

upcoming season in college football, trends are pretty useless. Why? Well because each team is different. The players are somewhat different, the coaches are most likely different, and the schedule as compared to the year before is definitely different.

If trends were always right or came true,

then nothing would ever change.

There would be no resurrection or renaissance,

no complete failure or shocking triumph.

Now that isn't to say that some teams won't have similar outcomes

to what they had the previous year,

but using trends as a North Star

would leave your predictions somewhat grounded

and not in truth.

Most of the time, even having a lot of returning experience will yield a different outcome
