0:11.5	that's a cautionary tale on what happens when you don't read the book 10 to 15 times like I
0:19.9	instruct and instead just try to cherry pick
0:23.4	things from videos so as I say constantly I've been saying for the last 15 or so years is that
0:32.4	the videos basically are real-world case-by-case scenarios where we take something that somebody's actually
0:42.0	going through and how to apply what's in the book to that specific situation. So you can learn a lot
0:48.2	from the videos, but if you're not learning the fundamentals, you're making things way harder
0:52.6	on yourself than they need to be. And so this guy
0:56.7	admits that he's now on the seventh read of 3% man, but when he first started following me,
1:03.0	and for the last several years, he would just cherry pick things from videos here and there.
1:08.3	And so now the situation that he is in is that his girlfriend has been backing away.
1:14.2	She says she misses him, wants to snuggle, wants to see him, makes plans to see him, and then just
1:20.9	flakes out on it and then tells him she's going to come over the next day, then she flakes out.
1:26.0	And he says, we've been together a year and she's never done
1:28.4	this before. And he's calling her out on it. But most of what he's saying, you could tell he's getting
1:33.1	angry, upset, and butt hurt. And if we bottom line her actions, it's obvious she's not as attracted
1:40.3	to him as he was, more than likely because, again, he didn't learn what was in the book
1:44.8	and he didn't apply it consistently. So he got some attainable success, but over many months,
1:50.6	he got lazy and kind of went back to the old way that he used to be because, again,
1:55.3	he didn't take the time to learn the fundamentals and the book. So it's like he cherry picks
2:00.1	from videos, things turn around, he learns just enough
