All right, you guys, buckle up.

This is going to be a long run episode of me and Candace Bert, who has been on the show

before.

Once she was on a phoneer way early, probably about 10 years ago, but since then has not.

And she and I have had our differences of opinion in the past, even some spirited argument

on social media. And I've said bad things about her. I've

criticized her without knowing her personally. And none of that was serious, you know,

or noteworthy. But recently with this Arizona monster, there's a lot of, you know, noise on the

internet, she's a person that people want to dunk on. And what I saw's a lot of, you know, noise on the internet. She's a person that

people want to dunk on. And what I saw was a lot of comments and a lot of dunking and a lot of

glee and a lot of, you know, negativity. And, you know, you know me. You know, if there's a pile,

if there's a pile on, I want to get to the bottom and then talk about it. And I thought that what would be really helpful is that we recognize, and me, I'm talking about myself more than anyone, who these people are.

You know, and that they are real people, raising kids or paying the mortgage or getting through life and that they have struggles just like us.

And I think that when we know them as a person, it becomes a lot more difficult to be critical

or to be, you know, snippy on social media and stuff like that.

And what I learned in talking to Candace is that she's an interesting person and that she

seems to be a well-intentioned person.

And that to the extent that I've been critical of her in the past, I was wrong.

And it sucks to learn that you're wrong.

But when you do, that's kind of when you grow.

Now, we both acknowledged at the end of the interview.

I don't know if it was recorded or not that we have a lot of things we could argue about
