All right, this is going to be a long run episode of me and my good friend, Mishka Shubali.

For those of you that don't know, and there might be a few new people, Mishka wrote a Kindle

mini way back in the day when I was just starting to run called the long run.

And that was the book that inspired me to consider that I could maybe try to run 50 miles,

which ends up leading to me running 50 miles and running 100 miles and forming a flat

land or ultra runners and the Tendrick Miles podcast and, you know, just, et cetera, like

everything.

All of my history with this sport can be traced back to that one little book that I read

by this guy.

Well, what ends up happening is we did the world's longest turkey chat for ALS a couple

weeks ago.

And my friend Rick Stanley flew him in to surprise me with the last 20 miles of the event,

although I was too sick to participate in the event, and I ended up actually jumping

in the last 10 miles so that I could spend time with him.

And then he stayed here for a couple days and we sat down and talked because he has a

book coming out, the long run, and other true stories, which is available on pre-order.
