All right, this is going to be a long run-up episode of me and my old friend Ed Thomas.

Ed is from South Dakota, he's 62, I'm going to guess, he's been a runner, ultra runners

long as I have, I used to see him everywhere, always wondered who he was and what's the deal

with him and over the years of, you know, talk to him at various different races including

the winter races, he's got a whole world of experience and all that came after the age

of 50, so he's kind of a great one to listen to if you think that, you know, you can't become

a 100 mileer, you can't become an ultra runner because you're, you know, getting older.

His whole career happened after 50, so really cool guy, lots of fun stuff, I think you're

going to love it, Ed Thomas.

How are you?

I'm doing well, how are you doing?

I can't complain, I'm doing really well, I was supposed to start a major trial on Monday

and the case settled, so my weekend went from working all weekend on stupid stuff to

nothing to do, so I'm going to have a nice show weekend.

Well, you know, it's complicated because if the case goes to trial then I work a lot harder

and I make a lot more money, you know, and it could be better or worse for the client,

but you know, I kind of, I was talking to another client today and about the fact that

I really like it when I give people the, I call it like the premium of having this off

of your mind, you know, because when you're suing somebody it's like this, you know, it's

almost like going through a breakup or, you know, like having a huge conflict and when

you can get it over with and you're just like, now tonight I'm going to sleep like, you
