Last October, the Trump administration announced a ceasefire deal in Gaza after two years of relentless carnage.

Since the deal was announced, Israel has continued to occupy much of Gaza and its forces have killed hundreds of Palestinian civilians.

France Van Kathr carried this report on one of the most lethal Israeli attacks so far this year at the end

of January.

Outside the morgue, people in Gaza City say their final goodbyes. They've just lost several

loved ones to overnight strikes. According to the hospital, one of them killed three

young children. They were staying in this apartment block, now reduced to rubble.

We woke up at 4 a.m. to a tragedy.

They struck three little girls and my aunt, who's an old lady with her daughter, who

were also staying with us.

We found my three little nieces in the street. They say ceasefire.

But what did those children do? What did we do?

Scenes in Han Yunus are painfully similar. After a strike hit a tent camp killing several people.

It's one of the highest tolls since a ceasefire was put in place in October. There's no ceasefire. Where's the ceasefire? You can see the dead with your own eyes, a family of ten, most of them children, elderly people.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has launched his so-called Board of Peace to administer Gaza without any input from Palestinians.

Having received a blank check for his scheme from the UN Security Council, Trump now presents

the Board of Peace as an alternative to the UN itself.

Do you want your Board of Peace to replace the UN?

Well, it might. I mean, the UN just hasn't been very helpful.

I'm a big fan of the UN potential, but it has never lived up to its potential.
