Akbar previously spoke with us in early January about the role of the Biden administration.

Five months later, with the Israeli government now on trial

for genocide while the attack on Raffa has begun, it's time for another look, a Biden's

tenacious support for Israel.

Last week, Biden said that it was time for this war to end

and claimed that there was an Israeli ceasefire proposal

that Hamas should accept.

After Biden's speech, Benimin Netanyahu rejected out of hand the idea of stopping his campaign

without the total destruction of Hamas.

We have gone a long way to return the hostages

while keeping the war's objectives in mind,

primarily the elimination of Hamas. We insist that we will achieve both. It's all part of the

plan, not something I've just added. Speaking to Al Jazeera on Tuesday the 4th of June.

Biden spokesman John Kirby still insisted that Hamas was standing in the way of a

ceasefire instead of Netanyahu.

And now it's up to Hamas to accept this proposal so that we can get the hostages out and so that the innocent people of Gaza who have no part in this war can get the food, water, medicine, shelter that they deserve.

But the Israeli government is rejecting its own proposal, the proposal that's been laid

out by President Biden.
