Trying to maintain any relationship or obligation when you're doing it from a long distance is challenging enough.

But when you're trying to care for a parent or a loved one long distance, the challenges are

even more difficult.

If you're living out of state or several hours away from a loved one who need your care,

you may already know the challenges that you have to face.

Or maybe you're wondering what

you can do to best help them and make sure they are cared for.

One of the first things you want to do is understand the options that are available as

a long-distance caregiver.

If you have siblings or other family members that are a part of the loved one's life,

ask if they are able to have a

video conference and try to have as many of them join as possible, or if it's practical,

arrange to have an in-person meeting for everyone to be a part of.

This can help address some important questions and issues like, what are the current care
