She goes to take them back and the store owner offered credit to spend store because I presume she may well have opened them. It's not entirely clear from the context at the minute, but normally the custom is if you've damaged the product in some way that give you in store credit. And she wasn't happy with that. She wanted an outright

accepting it for what it was, she wanted to steal her money back.

And the gentleman behind the counter prevents her from walking out of the shop by standing in the door and then she assaults him and

apparently this is a massive deal as if there's some sort of discrimination going on here.
