Oh, the Oh, Our subject again today is Lomas Longstrider who explored farther and wider than any other explorer we know of, a scribe, not a lord,

which makes his endeavor more impressive because he had less wealth and protection and probably

less education, though maybe not that it made his record

better that's the important thing no lordly explorer is gonna outscribe a scribe unless they

you know hire some scribes to help them along with that, but as far as we know, that's never happened.

Only Lomis has done that, at least as far as information we've been given.

And of course his two books, Wonders and Wonders Made by Man, are very important books within the setting.

Tyrian owned them both, as we told you he read them over and over until they fell apart.

I'm glad to know that podcasts don't fall apart when you listen to them over and over. In this episode we will cover of course

wonders, the first of the two books and we will need a lot of imagination. We needed a lot of

imagination for the last one but I think we need even more today. Definitely more

guesswork because we know less about the wonders he chose than the man-made ones.

We had a lot more information on the man-made ones, but we have no shortage of candidates

from all over the known world and we'll be describing what we know about these places, kind of comparing and contrasting within the setting as well to the real world.

We've got lots of examples of real world wonders that are wonderful companions or parallels to some of these.

And we'll do our best to picture them, the sites as Loma saw them, while describing what we know of the candidates we've chosen, many of which you have no doubt imagined prior to today,

but we'll go as deep as we've ever gone on a lot of these places.
