Summary

Logan Williams is a professional runner for Salomon and Satisfy Running based in the Lake Tahoe area. We met on the Salt Lake City trail scene a couple of years back and have been good friends ever since. I've always enjoyed his takes on our sport, so when I started this pod I was determined to get one of our conversations on the record. We finally did it. At its core, this is an episode about the importance of discovering and going all in on your identity from a trail runners po...

Welcome back. So I am rereading a book called Zero to One by a guy named Peter Thiel. And there is a

0:06.7

section where he talks about his interview style in the hiring process. In particular, he likes to ask

0:11.4

the following question. What important truth do very few people agree with you on? Here is the rest of

0:17.9

the passage and it's relatively short. Quote, this question sounds easy because it's straightforward.

0:24.2

great points that people weren't talking about publicly, at least until now. The author

1:06.0

stated their truth, probably broke a few unwritten rules in our sport, educated some people on the ugliness

1:12.8

of how these programs can work. And now, in my opinion, we're better off for it because

1:17.0

we're aware. We have the knowledge to act and to make things better. And yeah, I wanted to

1:23.2

give them a shout out because I love people that shake up things to make it better, you know, that don't

1:28.6

take the status quo for granted. And hopefully we can provide a platform for the conversation

1:34.9

I'm referring to soon on this show. I'll keep you posted. Okay, on to the episode. Welcome, Logan
