He was at a sporting goods store picking up some golf supplies.

When all of a sudden he realized he hadn't heard from his son, 20-year-old Cade in quite a while.

Kurt texted Cade's mother Elizabeth Dylinder to see if she had heard from him.

She hadn't. And then she got a very strange feeling.

Something fell off. I was driving and all of a sudden I just had this feeling that Cade fell the thousand miles away.

Elizabeth had one of those apps that allows her to see where her kids are.

So she checked her phone and saw that Cade was at a Safeway grocery store in Roseville, California, a town over from where he lived.
