What's up Logan? Now much better than you guys doing. I'd say how was your summer, but I see on TV all the time.

Yeah, I've been a busy summer, you know, I do the TV stuff, I do the training stuff. So summer's a busy time of year for both of those. So good to stay busy.

All right, so let's get into it. We played a clip of Ron from his press yesterday, and he admits the biggest question is quarterback. He says, you know, you'll find out if the quarterback.

Sam howl has grown and developed enough. What did you see from Sam howl going into his rookie season, meaning what you saw from his college is tape. And then what you saw in the little bit of work last season.

Yeah, I mean, you know, when I saw him at a carat line of like, there was a couple things that I found to be a little bit concerning, you know, like his mechanics weren't great.

I thought it's accuracy on certain throws is a little bit challenging. Obviously the talent was there. And the athleticism as a runner was there. And so like I thought, you know, him going in the fifth round.

Maybe a little bit lower than I probably would have gone on him, but, you know, that fourth third third fourth fifth round seemed kind of in the right sphere for me.

So, you know, I think that watching him kind of grow from that in the preseason was great. You saw him kind of perform really well against Baltimore.

And the next data point was, you know, obviously the Dallas game where you kind of saw some of that footwork stuff cleared up. Again, you see the arm talent.

I think that kind of, you know, springboard him into this last offseason mini camp OTA where like I thought he looked pretty sharp.

I mean, obviously not every day was perfect. He made some throws that were probably a little advise young, young player.

You know, there was some kind of late in the down throws, which I really don't like. But again, I'd say on the whole much, much, much improved and looked very, very comfortable and confident.

And it's Eric and Eric and me often. So kudos to him because it's challenging being a young football player, learning a new offense.

You seem to handle all that really well. So, you know, I think he kind of deserves this opportunity to kind of be the quote unquote starter going into training camp.

But I agree with Ron. You got to kind of continue to watch and monitor his development to make sure that he's going to be the guy for week one.

How hard is it to assess his decision making in OTA's when the quarterbacks not going to be hit? Is it hard to kind of assess what he's going to be like when he's facing the live bullets?

I mean, obviously that's the factor for sure. But I think it's it is a data point and it's a data point that you know, like I'm accustomed to seeing because you know, like obviously played 10 years in the league.

I've been covering the team for a while and like this is part of the process is like padless, you know, kind of on air throwing and you know, there is a rush.

It's not a live rush, but there is a rush. So how does he negotiate the rush? How does he keep his eyes down field? How is he working through his progressions is the ball out on time?
