It's Thursday, February 8th. I'm your host, Aliko Carter. And it's deadline day and some

craziness this deadline day, especially in regards to the Cavaliers who are performing some sort

of fire sale, it seems. It's not clear if they're building for now or building for the future,

but they've blown up the roster. They sent D-Wa

back to Miami. They got Rodney Hood and George Hill. They sent away D. Rose. They sent away IT.

And D. Rose went to the jazz. He's going to be waived and could end up with the Timberwolves.

Isaiah Thomas was sent to the Lakers. So the Cavaliers pickup scoring in Rodney Hood and a nice

option at point guard in George Hill, definitely better than a league average point guard.

But almost just as quickly as the IT era in the land began, it's just over.

And not very often do you see a player who was a star for the Lakers, then go and become a star

for the Celtics, uh, vice versa, excuse me, a star for the Celtics, go and become a star for

the Lakers.

Uh, but IT is definitely in greener pastures now, I think. The dysfunction of the

Cavaliers is behind him. And, you know, a coach in Luke Walton who will be patient with him

as he gets back to full strength from that hip injury. He said he's only at about 80%. It's clear

he's only at about 80%. And we'll see if he can

bring it back up. And the Lakers who are on a nice little streak of play right now, they're not

going to make the playoffs this year. But you know, you got to wonder, especially with free agency

coming up, if they can make some moves, they're going to be, you know, certainly a very formidable
