Today on the podcast, I want to talk about safety's Justin Reed out of Stanford and Jesse

Bates out of Wake Forest.

Two players, I think the Steelers would be lucky to have at the 28th pick in the first round,

two players that can fit into this defense for different reasons.

You know, we're not going to talk about Minka Fitzpatrick or Derwin-James, the two safeties

that are going to go very, very high in this draft.

I think they're going to go so high that no matter what, even if the Steelers tried to move up

and get them, I don't think they have the kind of draft capital to move up and get one

of those guys. As much as I love

Minka Fitzpatrick, and I think he is a unbelievable prospect. It's so versatile. You can use him

everywhere. He has the kind of versatility that defensive coordinators dream of. And then

Derwin James, you know, the athletic freak, you know, he's all over the field. Ballh, he can be, again, he can be a great safety in this league as well,

but I don't think the Steelers are going to have the kind of draft capital to move up

and get one of those players.

So we'll talk about Justin Reed and Jesse Bates and where they can fit on this Steeler defense.
