Welcome to the Locked-on Steelers podcast. I am your host, Tony Serrino, and this is your daily dose of all things Steelers.

0:05.9

Today on the podcast, we're going to talk about the new catch rule, go back in time and kind of evaluate just how we got to this point.

0:12.3

You know, the NFL had a lot of opportunities to change this rule over time, and they're just doing it now in 2018.

0:18.1

How did we get here and what could have been done in the past to change it?

0:22.9

But before I get to that, I want to talk about some news and notes.

0:25.8

Mike Tomlin met with the media today at a breakfast and said some things that I think are noteworthy, right?

0:31.1

1:04.2

1:08.5

spot rather than wait for Eli Rogers' recovery.

1:11.9

But it doesn't seem, it doesn't sound like from what Tomlin said today, doesn't sound like

1:15.6

that's really the plan. It sounds like the plan is more to bring back Eli Rogers, you know,

1:20.6

whether it's, you know, the timing of that, we shall see. But very encouraging to hear Tomlin

1:26.0

talk about Eli Rogers. Again, I think Eli Rogers was a very good slot receiver in 2016.

1:30.9

I know he lost out on that spot to 2017, but as we start to move away from Martavis Bryant,

1:36.6

you know, there seems to be this whole opening on the roster.
