Well, hello. I am Matt Williamson. This is the Locked-On NFL podcast. It is Twitter Thursday.

However, I was very late asking you guys about getting questions. I've been running around,

and I was actually at my son's dentist appointment. It had somewhat of a dental, not emergency,

but incident, and that took a lot longer than I planned.

But I came up with something better to talk about than your Twitter questions because I

didn't really ask you for any, and that was my fault. But here's where I'm at on that.

The, uh, what I want to talk about is 50year options. They're all official now.

And this is kind of poignant because all these teams just made their picks, you know, with the draft.

And for those of you that don't know, all your draft picks are going to be on four-year deals, basically.

And if you're a first-round pick, first 32 picks,

I guess first-round pick,

that you, four years later, have the option of giving that player another year,

and they get a raise.

I mean, it's not like it's a super cheap deal,

as opposed to them hitting free agency.

And you have to make your mind up now for next year's class.

So went to NFL.com, and so all the dudes drafted in the 2015 draft, that was James Winston

Marriota.

All the teams have to say, okay, I'm exercising, exercising his, which means that they do not

become a free agent after this year.

Or, no, I'm not going to do it.

He's not worth it to me.
