You know, not much. This is the end of the road, sort of our podcast, at least of the season podcast.

And it's been one heck of a year. We start off and you don't know where the whole thing is going to lead and how the playoffs are going to pan out and the whole thing and here we are the new england patriots again winning another

super bowl it's unbelievable and before we dig into that i want to tell everyone you know that we

Sage, apparently defense does still matter in this league. And this Belichick and Wade Phillips characters are pretty good at what they do.

Yeah, defense matters, but I think in particular,

what this game sort of showed me and really what the Patriots did,

in particular in the playoffs, is the game is still won and lost in the trenches.

We love talking about the superstars, but there are no superstars along the Patriots'

defensive line.

There are no superstars along the Patriots' offensive line.

Yet, you know, Brady was rarely touched in the playoffs.

He was, you know, maybe, maybe as he sacked maybe once this game

at least hit a couple times finally uh but they ran the football uh they protect the quarterback

extremely well and then defensive you know their defensive line again a bunch of no namers

they know how to stop the run on first and second down create issues and get penetration

uh that causes problems with the Rams.
