We've got a great show today. We're going to talk about Isaiah Thomas making some bold championship claims,

issues facing some of the top teams in the east and Dirk making history again.

But let's start in San Antonio, where the spurs beat the Golden State Warriors 111 to 105, beating

the defending champs in route to winning their ninth straight game. During this streak now

the spurs have beaten the Thunder, Bucks, Trail Blazers, and the Warriors.

This push has put them within throwing distance of a top four seed and home-quarter advantage in the first

round of the playoffs. What's impressed you the most about the spurs lately, Ben?

Well, the first thing that you already mentioned, it's just the quality of the competition that they've

beat, but what's really remarkable is this

winning streak has hardly like gotten them where you would you know separation from

these other teams in this pack I mean you've got the clippers have been on a

winning streak themselves the jazz have been playing

really well obviously the thunder have been coming back to earth because their

schedule has been more difficult but you know you would think if you're running off

wins over that level of competition you'd really be making tons of progress

up but I think unfortunately for San Antonio there's still like a two-game losing streak away from a really
