your daily NBA podcast.

I'm West Goldberg, and I'm here with David Ramele and from the Washington Post it's Ben

Goliver who has some updates regarding Team USA and we'll talk to him about that

later on but I want to start with the NBA schedule which the league released

on Monday and tends to have a whole lot of basketball games on it

featuring either two NBA teams or one NBA team in the Charlotte Hornets.

But Ben, what's the first thing you're looking at when the schedule is released?

That was brilliant.

I think usually we look at like the big showcase games, right?

Opening week, Christmas Day, but to me the headline takeaway from the schedule release was that Adam Silver is putting

all of NBA fans on load management.

It's such a long time coming, but they're really cutting down significantly on the super

late 1030 p.m. Eastern starts and you know you know me

Western Conference elitist you know I always think the best basketball is played

out here on the West Coast I think it finally became this problem for the

NBA where they're looking at it and saying, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Anthony

Davis, Paul George, Kawaylettered. They're all in the Pacific time zone

for a bunch of the fans back east who are trying to watch those guys,
