And I am joined again by Sam Gertler. Sam thanks much for joining me.

Yeah thanks for having me on Nick looking forward to it. We are continuing the

player previews I can't imagine we have more of these I mean we've done so many these so far but today we are doing one of our final ones

Dorian Finney Smith if you guys have listened to the podcast you know that's my guy. I love Dorian I think that you know he has a good place in this league I think that he has a few things he obviously needs to work on but I think that you know he'll end up being a solid NBA player 3 and D type guy

Talk to me about Dory and Finney Smith.

What, you know, what's your biggest question for him and what are you looking at for going into the season?

Yeah, you know, it's interesting that you say that Dorian is your guy and you really like him, you think he has a spot in this

league and I somewhat agree with you.

You know, he has, it looks like he has all the tools to be that three indeed guy he's he's long he's athletic

He doesn't have exceptional quickness as far as I can tell but I think he uses his body link to his

advantage and last year it was just it was a complete surprise how he just came on to the scene. I think it was five, six

games into the season he had barely played and then Carlisle puts him in against the Milwaukee Bucks and he played some lockdown defense on Giannis, the Greek freak.

I'm saying that because partly I don't really remember how to pronounce his last name so I'll just call him the Creek Freaks Fair.

But he he played such good defense and looking at his box score he was something around a plus 20 and had scored maybe

five points had a awful shooting line but propelled the maps to a win partly because of his all-around defensive play

and his play other than his offense and that's kind of Doriam Finney Smith in a

nutshell in my mind plays great defense, impacts

the game all over except on offense and that's where his biggest question arises. And I think it boils down to can he shoot.
