In what has been a crazy day, certainly for Detroit Lions fans, as number one, carry-on

Johnson placed on injured reserve,

and will miss the next eight weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

Then, late this afternoon, the Lions announced a trade, sending starting safety,

Quandre Diggs, one of the hard and soul guys of their defense,

who they just gave a three-year extension to last year,

worth over $20 million. They send him to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth round pick,

opening up more playing time for the rookie Will Harris and the second-year man Tracy Walker.
