A lot to discuss from preseason game number three last night down at Ford Field.

First of all, I got to give kudos to Matt Patricia and the Lions coaching staff.

I liked how much they played the starters.

We're going to get into the two very big injuries that took place on Friday night and what it means to the team.

But for the paying customer,

and I tweeted this last night, and for the fans that really, really care

and get into preseason game number three, because it's the closest thing to a regular season game,

Matt Patricia had his starters out there for most of the first half,

especially Matthew Stafford taking some reps and series in the second quarter,

which I liked.

We got to see some different wrinkles, some new looks.

We watched Stafford connecting with what could ultimately be his favorite new target in tight-end, T.J. Hawkinson.

So from that standpoint, I liked it.

And I thought that, you know, I got to give some love and some props, certainly to the coaching staff.

I thought this team was much more prepared than they have been over the last, really, two seasons of preseason games.

And so Buffalo won the game 2420.
