And welcome to another episode of the Lockdown Bengals podcast.

It's crossover Wednesday, which means the second and third segments of the show, as usual,

with this week's opponent, the Baltimore Ravens and the Locked-on Ravens podcast.

So you will hear from Joe and Kevin talking about the matchup in depth a little bit later,

and I get to spend my usual Wednesday five minutes by myself

talking about whatever it is I want to talk about and today I'm going to look at some of the

interesting trends and noteworthy series notes from the Bengals and Ravens since the Ravens came into

existence 46 Bengals Ravens games ago or 23 seasons ago. The first matchup between

the Ravens and the Bengals this year will break a 23 to 23 tie in the series between these teams

dating back 46 matchups or 23 years. The Bengals have been good in the last six years or so, winning nine out of the last

13 contests, and Andy Dalton was pretty good in those games against the Ravens under Marvin

Lewis, and they were generally pretty successful. Another interesting note on this series and

its history is that the home team is pretty well favored in this matchup historically. The Ravens are 15 and 8 at home and the Bengals are 15 and 8 at home.

A lot of these games are tight.
